Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The mother of her child, Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam, and is of Chinese heritage, while her father, Winston Barrett Munn, comes from a family that has long-standing roots in The American South. Olivia's parents separated at age two. She grew up with her mother who was as a pilot in the United States Air Force, as well as her stepfather. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan, even though the family moved around often. At the time, she was a part of several stage productions. Then she was a Japanese model. Olivia was able to move into Los Angeles when her family finally moved back home to the United States to follow her dream to be an actress. After playing a couple of parts in her professional career, she took a very promising turn when she landed the role of Mily Acuna in the Hawaii-focused TV series Beyond the Break (2006) and the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007). She hosts the podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" as well as "The Daily Nut". She enjoys surfing, which she continues practicing since the television show Beyond the Break (2006). Also, she has an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. The year 2000 was when she turned two years older, her mother got married. The family has moved numerous times. She lived the majority of her life in Tokyo Japan since that was the place where her father worked. She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in journalism and minored in Japanese and dramatic arts.
