Lita Rossana Ford She was born in the United Kingdom and was an American guitarist, vocalist, and music writer. In the late 70s she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. The band did not enjoy much of a following within the United States. However, their fame grew internationally, particularly in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career after the band was disbanded in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was called 'Dancin' on the Edge and was followed by the Album Out for Blood. Ford's albums were not very successful and she disappeared for a couple of years. The smash hit 'Lita' was released in the year 1989. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success was only brief and after a couple of more years, she disappeared. She re-emerged when she released 'Black' in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' almost 15 years later. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
