Ina Garten has been known as a well-known American writer of cook books for many seasons. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina was employed for the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies as well as the budget. Her first impression was that her job as stimulating intellectually, but eventually lost interest and opened a food specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. Prior to selling the company it took her an entire 18 years transforming it into the most successful shop. Many other cookbooks and magazine columns came later. Another hit came from her Food Network Television show. She also sells everything from cooking equipment to items and even containers. Ina has never been to any cookery schools or employed in a restaurant, and is completely self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining and her easy cooking style are well known. Her best-known recipes include Skillet with roasted lemon chicken and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars as well as Mac and cheese.
