Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very well-known. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she received high praise for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed her outlook on life. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23 she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. The character in The Lad of The Lake was her most memorable breakthrough, bringing an award for her performance, the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her performance. In the following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. As a well-known singer, she also released a single and an extended play. In addition, she's an activist who is a tireless advocate in the fight for LGBT rights.
